Terms of Service
Optics Craft

1Purpose and Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the optical simulation application "Optics Craft" ("the Service"), operated by Coherent Strategies Co., Ltd. ("we," "us," or "the Operator"), provided under an annual subscription model.

By completing the subscription registration and payment process, you agree to be bound by all provisions of these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not proceed with registration.

2Intellectual Property

All programs (including HTML, JavaScript, CSS and other source code), text, images, designs, layouts, and related data that constitute the Service are the intellectual property of the Operator, protected by copyright, patent, trademark, and other applicable laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes only. No other rights are granted.

3Prohibited Activities

You agree not to engage in any of the following activities in connection with the Service:

  • Unauthorized Reproduction or Distribution Copying, extracting, republishing, or distributing any part of the Service's source code, design, or content without the Operator's prior written consent.
  • Modification and Reverse Engineering Modifying, adapting, reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling any part of the Service's software in order to access or derive the source code.
  • Unauthorized Redistribution Redistributing, selling, renting, lending, assigning, or publicly transmitting all or any part of the Service, whether for compensation or free of charge, without authorization.
  • Unauthorized Sharing of Access Sharing or lending your subscription account credentials or access rights to third parties.
  • Competitive Use Utilizing the Service's source code or logic to develop, publish, or operate a similar or competing service.

4Breach and Remedies

If the Operator determines that you have violated any prohibition set forth in Article 3, we may immediately suspend or terminate your access to the Service without prior notice. In the case of a subscription arrangement, the subscription may be terminated with immediate effect.

In the event that the Operator suffers damages as a result of your unauthorized reproduction, modification, or redistribution, we reserve the right to pursue all available legal remedies, including claims for damages and injunctive relief.

5Subscription, Cancellation & Refunds

The Service is provided under an annual subscription model. The following terms apply:

  • Cancellation You may cancel your subscription at any time through the dedicated customer portal. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to the Service until the end of the current subscription period for which you have already paid.
  • Automatic Renewal Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each subscription period. If you do not wish to renew, please cancel before the renewal date via the customer portal.
  • Refunds Due to the digital nature of the Service, refunds are not available after payment has been processed, except in cases where a critical defect prevents access to the Service. In such cases, please contact us and we will handle your request on an individual basis.

6Service Continuity Disclaimer

The access rights (license) granted to you under these Terms are contingent upon the Operator's continued provision of the Service. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or indefinite availability of the Service.

The Operator may suspend or discontinue all or part of the Service, with prior notice where reasonably practicable, or without prior notice in urgent circumstances, in any of the following situations:

  • Technical or Operational Reasons System failures, changes or discontinuation of third-party services (such as payment processors or hosting providers), or other technical or business circumstances that make continued operation impracticable.
  • Force Majeure Natural disasters, changes in applicable laws or regulations, governmental orders, or other events beyond the Operator's reasonable control.
  • Other Reasons Any other circumstances analogous to the above in which the Operator reasonably determines that suspension or termination is necessary.

In the event of service suspension or termination, refunds for unused subscription periods will generally not be issued, except where the termination results from the Operator's willful misconduct or gross negligence, in which case we will respond on an individual basis.

This article is intended to transparently communicate risks inherent to all digital services. The Operator is committed to maintaining stable, continuous service, but we ask that you acknowledge these possibilities before subscribing.
